About the role

You will join the Trauma Surgical Med-Surg unit at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies, our Northern Colorado tertiary referral hospital. The role is part of an RN Fellowship pathway. You will get structured education, mentorship, and competency validation as you transition into Trauma Surgical nursing.

The role is onsite. There is no hybrid or remote option.

Acute Care

  • Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units of moderate to high patient acuity.
  • AMSN’s core curriculum and various specialty certification standards are built into evidence-based care models for each unit.
  • Clinical Educators support and guide individualised specialty education and training. This includes competency validation throughout your clinical orientation.

Minimum requirements

Education and experience

  • Graduate of an accredited or state-board-approved Registered or Professional Nursing program, if you have less than 3 years of experience.
  • 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.

Licensure

  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Required certifications

  • BLS through the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. You must have a card in-hand before your start date. The BLS or CPR card must be valid through 60 days of hire.
