Nuclear Medicine Technologist Traveler – MCR PET

Job Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Traveler to join the MCR PET CT team at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. This full-time travel role involves performing nuclear medicine imaging and therapy while following established clinical standards, safety procedures, and organizational policies.

The position offers 13-week assignments, with local traveler contract options available for candidates living within 75 miles of the location.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Traveler Responsibilities

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Traveler, you will:

• Review patient histories and physician orders and assist with scheduling examinations.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and examinations to promote understanding and cooperation.
• Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes in their condition.
• Prepare imaging equipment and required supplies before examinations.
• Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Follow safety standards and complete quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions when necessary.
• Position patients and perform required nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
• Review imaging results and identify potential image quality concerns.
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients or repeating procedures when necessary.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or certification as a Technologist (RT) with nuclear medicine certification (NM) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State licensure where required by law.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
