Job Description

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join its Family Medicine team in Longmont, Colorado.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care using the nursing process while following established professional standards, organizational policies, and clinical best practices. You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, coordinate treatment, educate patients and families, and support the overall delivery of quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a medical office setting
  • Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate patient care interventions
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient status changes
  • Coordinate patient care with healthcare providers and support teams
  • Assist with referrals, transfers, and discharge planning
  • Support patients’ psychosocial and spiritual care needs
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatments and healthcare plans
  • Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to support staff
  • Precept student nurses and newly hired staff when required
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Apply sound clinical judgment in daily patient care activities
  • Work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board-approved Registered Nursing program for candidates with less than three years of nursing experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
  • Minimum of six months nursing experience
