About the role
You will join the Mother Baby Unit at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. The role is part of an RN Fellowship pathway. You will get structured education, mentorship, and competency validation as you transition into Mother Baby nursing.
What you will do
You will help improve lives every shift. The work is hands-on, evidence-based, and patient-focused.
- Provide top-of-scope direct patient care using the nursing process.

Women’s Care and Infants
- Direct care units include Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery — Birth Center, Women’s Care, and NICU.
- AWHONN’s and AACN’s practice standards and certifications guide evidence-based care models for each unit. These include RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, and CCRN.
- Clinical Educators support and guide individualised specialty education and training. This includes competency validation throughout your clinical orientation.
Minimum requirements
Education and experience
- Graduate of an accredited or state-board-approved Registered or Professional Nursing program, if you have less than 3 years of experience.
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
Licensure
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Relevant certification as determined at position level.
Required certifications
- BLS through the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. You must have a card in-hand before your start date. The BLS or CPR card must be valid through 60 days of hire.
