Job summary

The Product Operations Educator job in Melbourne is responsible for supporting efficient inventory processing and product operations at the Emporium store. The role involves receiving shipments, organising products across the retail floor and back of house, and completing inventory-related tasks in line with company standards.

Product Operations Educators help maintain efficient product flow and maximise profitable sell-through. They also support guests on the retail floor by providing assistance when required or connecting them with the appropriate team member.

Key responsibilities

As a Product Operations Educator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Organising and maintaining a clean inventory workspace to improve efficiency and support a safe store environment.
  • Following the inventory processing plan established by the Product Operations Lead.
  • Completing accurate RFID inventory counts in accordance with company standards.
  • Receiving and processing product deliveries, including folding, sorting, and hanging products to maximise space and productivity.
  • Reconciling, preparing, packaging, and shipping products to the appropriate locations, including damaged items and consolidations.
  • Carrying out product display adjustments, daily restocking, destocking, and product movements on the retail floor.
  • Maintaining store organisation and product presentation according to company standards.
  • Supporting market-relevant omnichannel programmes, including buy online/pickup in store and ship-from-store services.
  • Assisting guests on the retail floor or connecting them with another team member for further support.
  • Contributing to a respectful and inclusive working environment for team members and guests.
  • Using in-store technology to support daily operations and positive guest experiences.

Eligibility requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be legally authorised to work in the country where the store is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to the assigned store.

Schedule and availability

The work schedule may vary according to store requirements.

Shifts may include:

  • Early mornings
  • Mornings
  • Afternoons
  • Evenings
  • Late nights or overnight shifts
  • Weekends
  • Holidays

The schedule may also include working periods when the store is closed to guests.

Preferred qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are desirable but not mandatory:

  • High school diploma, equivalent qualification, or higher.
  • Experience in retail, distribution centre, or warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience with stocking or inventory processing.

This role involves moving throughout different areas of the store. Work may take place on the sales floor, which can include bright lighting and loud music, as well as in areas without windows or natural light.

The role may involve:

  • Working as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Using computers and other technology to complete work tasks.
  • Occasionally moving boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg).
  • Using ladders to reach materials when necessary.
