About the role

You will help carry out surgical procedures safely and efficiently. The work is hands-on, fast-paced, and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Make sure equipment and instruments are in good working order. Help prepare, transport, position, and drape patients.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery. Continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies during the procedure.
• Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

Minimum requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or Military training.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
• 1 year of experience.
• BLS through the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. You must have a card in-hand before your start date. The BLS or CPR card must be valid through 60 days of hire.
