Respiratory Therapist job in Fort Collins is open at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital for a qualified Respiratory Therapist who is ready to support direct patient care in an onsite clinical setting.

This PRN role is based in the PVH RT department and works day shifts. The position gives the successful candidate the chance to use respiratory therapy protocols, support patient care, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist will support patient care by using respiratory therapy knowledge, clinical judgement, and safe care practices.

Main duties include:

  • Providing direct patient care using respiratory therapy protocols
  • Applying best practices to support better patient outcomes
  • Working with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Supporting evidence-based care
  • Prioritising patient wellness and patient-centred care
  • Supporting safety and quality at the point of care
  • Precepting staff who are new to healthcare or new to UCHealth
  • Working in a fast-paced and innovative clinical environment
  • Managing ventilator integration
  • Supporting adaptive pulmonary care
  • Providing airway management across multiple levels of care

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT, through the National Board for Respiratory Care, NBRC
  • State licensure, if required by law
  • ACLS within 1 year of hire
  • NRP within 6 months of hire
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
  • BLS or CPR card in hand before the start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be valid through sixty days of hire

$31.61 – $47.41 per hour

Pay is based on the applicant’s relevant experience.
