About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting quality management across electrical infrastructure construction projects. You will help ensure that the company’s quality management system meets ISO 9001:2015 standards and supports project delivery.
You will work closely with project managers and internal teams to monitor compliance, complete audits, prepare reports, and provide practical quality guidance. The role also includes developing training materials, supporting quality communication, and helping teams understand quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality management advice to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Conduct quality management system audits and prepare clear audit reports.
- Support project managers in maintaining high-quality standards across projects.
- Develop and deliver quality management system inductions, training, and communication materials.
- Monitor compliance with client and project requirements.
- Conduct external audits where required.
- Identify quality issues and support improvement actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, audit findings, and related documentation.
- Work with internal teams to promote best practices in quality management.
- Support continuous improvement across electrical infrastructure construction projects.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate should have strong quality management knowledge, construction industry experience, and a clear understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Applicants should have:
- HNC qualification in Quality Management, Construction, Project Management, Technical, or Engineering discipline.
- Practitioner membership of the Chartered Quality Institute.
- Aspiration to gain Chartered status.
- Experience working with quality management systems in the construction industry.
- Training as a QMS Auditor or Internal QMS Auditor.
- Experience auditing against ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good planning, organisation, and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work with project managers, stakeholders, and operational teams.
- A practical approach to quality improvement and compliance.
