About the role

As a Guest Experience Lead, you make sure every guest (our word for customers) gets a quality in-store experience. You do this by leading or providing technical product education. This education shows the value of our product and brand. It also meets the unique needs of each guest.

You are part of the store leadership team. You drive store performance from the floor through guest experience and team results. You help the team hit daily sales and unit targets.

You also give input into team member performance reviews. You make recommendations on store hiring. And you act as Supervisor on Duty (SOD) when you lead the floor.

Core responsibilities

  • Bring the lululemon guest experience framework to life. Lead from the floor to create an exceptional, inclusive guest experience.
  • Keep checking the level of guest connection and technical product education. Make sure every guest gets technical product education, and step in to help guests when needed, such as when other team members are unavailable.
  • Move dynamically and lead from the floor as Supervisor on Duty. Assess and meet the needs of the business, the team, and guests.
  • Carry out preparation activities so the store is ready for guests. Keep the store running smoothly throughout your shift.
  • Open and close the store in line with the opening and closing procedures.
  • Review and read daily business data and metrics. Track progress toward sales goals and motivate the team to drive results.
  • Take part in the store’s hiring process. This includes recruitment, selection and hiring recommendations, onboarding, and training.
  • Support team member performance and their learning and development. Give direct feedback and in-the-moment recognition, coaching, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences.
  • Help build a respectful, inclusive team. Form supportive working relationships and create a fun, productive environment.

Experience

  • One year of retail or customer experience, such as guest resolution or navigating difficult conversations.
  • Some experience leading, mentoring, or delegating with others.

Nice to have (not required)

  • Education: a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or above.
  • One year of retail or sales leadership experience. Supervisor or people management is not required. Examples include leading delegated tasks, or mentoring and assisting peers.
  • For experiential stores with food or beverage service only: food safety and/or liquor service certification.

Compensation and benefits

Here is the pay for this role:

  • Base pay range: $23.75 to $27.33 an hour, subject to the minimum wage in the location.
  • Target bonus: $2.00 an hour.
  • Total target base pay range: $25.75 to $29.33 an hour.
