Job Responsibilities
As a Harvest Operative, you will help with daily crop work across the farm. Your duties will include:
- Manually planting crops
- Harvesting fresh produce
- Maintaining crops through hand weeding
- Working in fields and poly tunnels
- Handling crops carefully
- Using cutting appliances safely and correctly
- Meeting the required pick rate speed
- Following farm rules, safety standards, and work instructions
Candidate Requirements
To do well in this role, you should be physically fit, reliable, and ready to work outdoors. You should also be able to use your hands in a careful and coordinated way when handling crops and tools.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Previous harvesting experience or a basic understanding of harvesting work
- A dependable and self-motivated attitude
- Ability to work outside in different weather conditions
- Good hand skills and dexterity
- Physical stamina for active farm work
- Respect for rules, regulations, and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work 6 days per week when required
Working Hours
This role requires flexibility across the week.
- 5+ days per week
- Working hours are between 6:00am and 6:00pm
- Applicants must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions
