Channel Strategy & Development

Market Planning
Conduct comprehensive analysis of the Nigerian mobile phone retail market to identify and prioritize key KA clients, including national and regional chains such as Slot, Pointek, 3CHUB, and Raya. Develop structured, phased, and executable channel development roadmaps aligned with market realities.

New Channel Acquisition
Lead proactive engagement and negotiations to secure new retail chain partnerships. Manage the full onboarding lifecycle, including product listing, POS material rollout, system integration, and in-store staff training.

Partnership Program Design
Design and implement competitive trade terms and partnership programs in line with company policies and prevailing market conditions. This includes procurement agreements, margin structures, market development funds, and joint marketing initiatives.

Team Collaboration & Support

Internal Coordination
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure adequate product supply, effective marketing support, and aligned credit policies that enable frontline sales performance.

Market Intelligence Feedback
Continuously gather, analyze, and relay market intelligence, customer insights, competitor activity, and product feedback from retail channels and points of sale to inform strategic business adjustments.

Risk Management
Oversee channel inventory levels and pricing system stability. Identify, prevent, and resolve channel risks, including cross-regional sales conflicts and price disruptions.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Regular Reporting
Prepare and submit routine channel sales reports, market performance analyses, and client evaluation reports in a timely manner.

Data Analysis
Leverage data analysis tools to examine sales performance, identify gaps or risks, and develop targeted improvement plans.


Qualification

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A minimum of three years’ experience managing KA channels within the consumer electronics sector is required. Demonstrated success in developing KA channels for mobile phones or consumer electronics in Nigeria or West Africa is highly preferred.

Channel Network

Proven relationships and a strong track record of partnerships with major mobile phone retail chains in Nigeria, including Slot and Pointek, are essential.

Language

Fluency in business-level written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in local languages such as Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo is a strong advantage.

Others

Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the country. Strong understanding of local business practices and market culture.
