Job Summary

The IT Support Officer will provide technical assistance to users, maintain computer systems, and support the continuous and efficient operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first-level technical support to employees on hardware, software, and network-related issues

• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and associated IT equipment

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system and network faults

• Perform regular updates and maintenance of operating systems and application software

• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and password controls

• Ensure effective data backup processes, antivirus protection, and overall system security

• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, system documentation, and software licensing records

• Support email platforms, internet services, and internal communication systems

• Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to external vendors or higher-level support when necessary

• Provide basic training and guidance to users on IT systems and tools

• Minimize system downtime through prompt issue resolution and proactive support

Educational Qualifications

• HND or BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

Required Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated experience working as an IT Support Officer or in a similar technical support role

• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and basic networking concepts

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues

• Familiarity with antivirus solutions and data backup systems

• Effective communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform under pressure

Salary

₦300,000 monthly
