Pharmacist Clinical Outpatient – Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-centered Pharmacist Clinical Outpatient to provide advanced pharmacy support and ensure safe, effective medication therapy at the point of care. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, apply evidence-based protocols, and prioritize patient wellness in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, knowledgeable, and committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Department: MHS Pharmacy

FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Day and Evening Rotation

Pay: $57.50 – $80.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

Clinical Pharmacist: 

• Ensure medications are prescribed, accurately dispensed, and administered according to best practices
• Provide drug information and counseling to patients and caregivers regarding medication use, accurate dosage, potential side effects, and administration instructions
• Stay current with updated medication formularies, new drug therapies, treatment protocols, and emerging medical research through continuous professional development and clinical education
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate collaborative care to ensure optimal outcomes
