Job Summary

The NOC Engineer is responsible for continuous remote monitoring of renewable energy assets, ensuring optimal system performance, accurate reporting, and effective escalation management. The role supports operational efficiency through performance analysis, inventory coordination, and structured decision-ready reporting.


Remote Monitoring and Asset Performance

  • Monitor inverters and overall plant performance across all renewable energy assets.

  • Identify alarms, performance degradation, communication failures, and abnormal operating trends, and initiate actionable reports through the project execution and preventive maintenance processes.

  • Assess and classify incidents based on severity prior to escalation.

  • Maintain monitoring dashboards covering plant availability, uptime, and energy yield metrics.


Inventory and Operational Records Management

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for solar equipment and related materials.

  • Coordinate with Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to ensure timely resolution of site-related escalations.

  • Liaise with suppliers to facilitate the prompt procurement of required spare parts and equipment.

  • Prepare and maintain Material Request Forms (MRFs), quotations, and pro-forma invoices to support operational requirements.


Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reports demonstrating operational efficiencies and cost savings achieved.

  • Prepare and circulate weekly performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and insights.

  • Identify, document, and track operational issues impacting site performance.

  • Provide technical support to Field Service Engineers as required.

  • Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and system reliability.

  • Contribute technical inputs for management and client presentations.


Reporting and Decision Support

  • Produce structured, decision-focused weekly operational reports detailing downtime causes, performance risks, and efficiency gaps.

  • Generate energy yield, uptime, and system efficiency reports suitable for project management review.

  • Document recurring issues, operational risks, and improvement opportunities for long-term optimization.


Escalation Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for site-related escalations to ensure prompt issue resolution.

  • Escalate incidents to the Project Engineer or Service teams with clear fault descriptions, probable root causes, and impact assessments.

  • Track incident resolution timelines and confirm issue closure.

  • Work closely with Field Service Engineers to support timely and effective resolution of technical issues.


Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 5–10 years’ relevant professional experience.
