Human Resource Manager – Accra Job Description
The organization is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resource Manager to support the operations of a well-established restaurant group. This role is suited to a strategic HR professional with a strong background in hospitality, capable of fostering an engaging workplace culture while ensuring effective HR operations in a fast-paced environment.
The Human Resource Manager will play a central role in talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, and regulatory compliance. The position requires a hands-on leader who can align workforce practices with the organization’s vision while supporting employee motivation, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning

Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to attract and retain high-quality talent within the hospitality sector.

Support workforce planning activities to ensure staffing levels meet operational requirements.
Employee Engagement and Workplace Culture

Build, promote, and sustain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

Implement employee engagement initiatives that encourage motivation, collaboration, and service excellence.
Training, Development, and Performance Management

Design and oversee training programs focused on customer service standards, regulatory compliance, and leadership development.

Implement performance appraisal systems and employee recognition programs to support individual and organizational growth.
HR Compliance and Policy Administration

Ensure full compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and internal HR policies relevant to the food service industry.

Maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures aligned with legal and operational requirements.
Payroll, Benefits, and Employee Relations

Oversee payroll administration, compensation structures, and employee benefits to ensure accuracy, fairness, and competitiveness.

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Three (3) to five (5) years of HR management experience within the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industry.

Strong understanding of employment laws, labor regulations, and compliance requirements in the food service sector.

Proven leadership, communication, and conflict-management capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills to support efficient HR operations.
