Job title: Head of talent & performance management

Location: Lagos (Remote)

Job Description

The Head of Talent & Performance Management is responsible for shaping, delivering, and continuously strengthening Moniepoint’s talent and performance management strategy. The role champions a high-performance culture through clearly defined career frameworks, structured performance cycles, talent reviews, and succession planning. Working closely with Learning & Development, People Business Partners, and business leaders, this position ensures that talent practices are scalable, equitable, and aligned with both individual development and organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the global Talent Management strategy in alignment with business priorities and people goals

  • Design, implement, and maintain career frameworks and job level rubrics across all functions

  • Oversee quarterly performance review cycles, including calibration and feedback processes

  • Develop and evolve growth planning, development planning, and internal mobility initiatives

  • Establish and manage talent reviews, succession planning, and people readiness processes

  • Partner with People Business Partners, functional leaders, and executives to embed a strong performance and development culture

  • Manage a small team and coordinate with external service providers when required

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing performance frameworks and career pathways

  • Background working within technology organisations and fast-growth environments

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional talent initiatives

  • Strong track record of managing teams and delivering measurable outcomes

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience implementing or managing performance and talent management platforms

  • Exposure to leading talent strategies across multiple geographies, particularly Nigeria, the UK, and India

  • Experience within regulated sectors such as fintech, payments, or banking

  • Familiarity with succession planning tools, including 9-box or readiness frameworks

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Talent Management, Learning and Development, or Organizational Development
