main functions

  • Carry out assigned mechanical maintenance activities in line with operational requirements

  • Work under the direct supervision of a designated supervisor

tasks and responsibilities

  • Estimate workload requirements and determine realistic job completion timelines

  • Support mechanical engineers in the planning, testing, and evaluation of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, including engines, instruments, controls, robots, and related systems

  • Assist in preparing technical proposals and cost estimates

  • Actively participate in all on-the-job safety tools and procedures

  • Review job packs prior to execution

  • Identify safety risks associated with assigned tasks and ensure appropriate mitigation before commencement of work

  • Execute approved maintenance activities in accordance with work plans

  • Document technical history as required by the workgroup, including updates to Global Reliability Tools (GRT), data sheets, and related records

  • Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS

  • Request work permits and promptly notify the Supervisor if a permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of the requested time

skills and qualifications

  • Relevant discipline-specific certification(s), where applicable, or equivalent professional experience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend corrective actions

  • Proven teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively without direct authority and a willingness to support colleagues

  • Capacity to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in work priorities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
