Sales – Business Developer (Pay with Transfer)

As a Business Developer within PalmPay’s Pay with Transfer (PWT) team, this role is central to accelerating business growth through opportunity identification, quality merchant acquisition, agent and merchant education, and increased adoption of PalmPay products.


Job Responsibilities

  • Market Prospecting: Identify and engage target merchants across multiple market segments for Pay with Transfer, merchant loans, collaborations, and online payment solutions, using channels such as online directories, industry events, and referrals.

  • Merchant Engagement Strategy: Initiate contact with prospective merchants, build strong professional relationships, and arrange meetings or product demonstrations to clearly communicate the value of PalmPay’s service offerings.

  • Needs Assessment: Evaluate merchants’ business operations, payment processes, and operational challenges to determine specific needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Customized Presentations: Deliver tailored presentations showcasing PalmPay’s products, features, functionality, and potential return on investment, aligned with the requirements of key and high-quality merchants.

  • Relationship Management: Develop and sustain long-term relationships with key decision-makers by demonstrating product expertise, reliability, and timely responsiveness.

  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead discussions on pricing, commercial terms, and agreements to successfully close deals in line with company policies and merchant expectations.

  • Collaborative Implementation: Work closely with internal teams, including product development and customer support, to resolve client inquiries, provide technical guidance, and support smooth service implementation.


Compensation

  • Base Salary: ₦70,000

  • Transportation Allowance: ₦20,000

  • Sales Commission: Performance-based
