Backend Developer (Java) – Ikeja, Lagos

Polaris Digitech Limited is a location intelligence company delivering data-driven solutions, software, and decision-support services that enable organizations to meet strategic and operational goals through the design and deployment of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team in the capacity outlined below.

Job Overview

The Backend Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining server-side applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend components of enterprise applications

• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to deliver scalable solutions

• Design, build, and integrate APIs to support application functionality

• Contribute to technical documentation and support ongoing system improvements

Qualification & Experience

• BSc or HND in Computer Science or a related discipline

• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in a similar role

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in backend programming languages, including:

  • Java (Spring Boot)

  • JavaScript

• Strong experience in RESTful API design and development

• Familiarity with API documentation standards

• Knowledge of GraphQL is an added advantage
