Important information for applicants
Right to work in the United Kingdom UK.
Before your appointment, you will need to confirm your right to work and live in the UK. While you work here, you must tell your manager as soon as possible if your right-to-work status changes. Sometimes a role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Trust’s criteria. If that applies, the Trust cannot extend your employment past the expiry of your current visa. The Trust is not responsible for keeping your employment going beyond that point.
You must keep the legal right to work in the UK for as long as you work for the Trust. This is a condition of your employment. Any change to your status may affect your job. This includes a visa expiring, being revoked, or being refused renewal. You must tell your line manager promptly about any change. You must also give the documents needed to check your status. If you do not obtain or renew a visa in good time, this breaks your employment conditions. It will result in the end of your employment.
Disclosure and Barring Service check
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Because of this, we will carry out a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before we confirm any appointment. The check looks for any previous criminal convictions.
UK registration
You must hold current UK professional registration. You can find more information on the NHS Health Careers website.
Sponsorship
We welcome applications from people who need Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK. We will consider these alongside all other applications. Since 6 April 2017, there has been an extra rule for Skilled Worker applicants seeking entry into the UK. They must provide a criminal record certificate from each country where they have lived for a long period. This covers any country lived in for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants must do the same. You can find up-to-date guidance on the UK Visas and Immigration pages at gov.uk.
